It's hard to think of any other Quake 3 engine game that looks better - the graphics are crisper, the character and weapons models look far more detailed, and overall it's a huge leap over any other Quake 3 engine game out there.

Even if you're not a hardcore Trekkie, there should be enough fun moments to hold your attention: One hysterical scene mimics a famous scene from another popular space franchise line-for-line using the Star Trek vocabulary in place of the original lines.Īs in the first Elite Force, EF2 uses the Quake 3 engine for its graphics, but anyone who thinks the Q3 engine is long past its prime may think differently after seeing Elite Force II. During the game you'll get to visit Starfleet Academy, and if you want, you can spend all sorts of time wandering around chatting with people (although it's totally optional if you're the antisocial type). In fact, the Ritual guys are pretty excited about all the extras they've put in the game which should appeal to Star Trek fans.
